RECORBA RESERVA, D.O. Ribera del Duero

CURRENT VINTAGE: 2006

VINTAGE 2004:
The American Wine Magazine “Wine & Spirits” has recognized our RECORBA RESERVA 2004 with 88 points (Best Buys).

100 % Tempranillo

Location:
The property has seven very different estates of 80 hectares each. The harvest is carried out in each estate depending on the different degree of ripening of the grapes.

Winemaking:
Fermentation of the selected grapes in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 29ºC and a maceration period of 12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests for 15 months in American oak casks from the areas of Missouri and the Appalachians, followed by a further 3 months in 20.000 litre French oak vats. Lastly it matures in the bottle for 15 months before it is put on the market.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:

COLOUR: Ruby red with golden undertones. A brilliant opaque wine, typical of the good Ribera del Duero reserves.

BOUQUET: Very complex aromas, especially of fruit and compote. The wine should be previously oxygenated in order to appreciate its complexity, which has aromas of minerals, but stronger roast and smoked aromas.

IN MOUTH:  In the mouth it is elegant with well-defined tannin. Its structure is complex and it has a tasty, velvety, lasting finish.
